Book Exhibit
The Society for Iranian Studies will be holding its Seventh Biennial Conference at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Toronto, Canada, from July 31 to August 3, 2008. The conference includes a book exhibit by publishers of titles of general interest to scholars as well as the wider reading public in various fields of Iranian and Iran-related cultures, literatures, arts, religions, and civilizations. The book exhibit offers space for individual as well as combined displays, the latter for publishers with small selection of related titles. In 2006, the conference drew more than 800 paid registrants and the 2008 conference is expected to attract a larger number of participants.
Booth Assignments and Pricing
The cost for an individual exhibition space (including a table 72X30 inches, wall space, and room for seating and storage behind the table) is US$600 for the four days. The combined book exhibit space will be administered by ISIS-designated staff. Spaces for combined exhibits will be available at the rate of US$25 per title on exhibit.

Advertising
Publishers and book/media distributors can advertise in the conference program. All ads must be submitted camera ready as PDF files with embedded fonts. The deadline for submission of advertisements is Friday, April 16, 2008. The advertisement rates are as follows:

The ISIS offers a 20% discount for advertising to those renting exhibit space at the biennial meeting. Checks for ads should be submitted to Dr. Touraj Daryaee, ISIS Treasurer, as directed above.
Space and exhibit display set-ups
The exhibition space is the combined University Ballroom of the hotel, an approximately rectangular space measuring 54 feet by 39 feet. Set-up time is from noon until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30th. All books and materials must be removed from the room by 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 3th.

Friday, August 1: 8:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
Saturday, August 2: 8:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
Sunday, August 3: 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
ISIS 2008 Cooperative Book Display
ISIS’s Cooperative Book Display (CBD) is for individuals, publishers, organizations or other interested parties to display and take orders for items such as books, journals, bulletins, videos, music CDs, and software without having to rent and staff the exhibit space. Items included in CBD will be placed on view for the duration of the conference. The display copy of the item will be placed on sale on the last day of the meeting and the proceeds will go to ISIS to help offset the cost of staffing the booth. The cost for participation in the ISIS Cooperative Book Display is $20 (US) per title (plus the display copy of the item) and the postal expense.
