Profile: KIUMARS REZVANIFAR

Kiumars Rezvanifar, of Thornhill, has worked in the television industry for over 20 years. Mr. Rezvanifar began his career producing and directing various projects in the United States for television stations, the government and the private sector. After moving to Toronto in 1989, Mr. Rezvanifar found KVC Communications Group. In 1993, he launched Iran Zameen; the first one-hour Farsi language television program targeted to the Iranian community in Ontario. In 1996 he launched his second television program Pasagrad on CFMT Channel 47 (presently OmniTV). In addition to these programs, Mr. Rezvanifar has produced a variety of video and television projects for Canadian Pacific Hotels, the United Nations and the Hong Kong Tourist Board Association. Mr. Rezvanifar is an active member of the community. He is a founding member and President of the Iranian Canadian Culture Fellowship and a member of the United Way of York Region Board of Directors. In 2003, he was awarded the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal for his involvement it the community.
